** Minor Site Development is a privilege and some submittals may be handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the level of development**
The following are considered developments that may qualify for Commercial Minor Site Development.
1. SITEWORK
a. Driveways & Culverts --in Harris County Right of Way
- Proposed Driveway
- Driveway Addition
- Proposed Driveway with culvert
- Culvert Only
- Re-surfacing driveway over existing culverts
b. Other Site Development:
- Cut
- Fill
- Paving (not substantial)
- Re-surfacing over existing paving
c. On-Site Public Utilities
- Domestic water (excludes fire lines)
- Sanitary Sewer
- Storm Sewer
2. STRUCTURES
a. Permanent Buildings (provide a floor plan with dimensions)
- Public utility buildings
- Building less than 150 square feet in the Floodplain
- Storage (no larger than 400 square feet,
no flammable or hazardous materials stored)
b. Modular buildings (provide a floor plan with dimensions)
- Sales office
- Temporary construction trailers (requires Site Development plans for the construction project to be approved)
- Portable classrooms (schools only)
c. Telecommunications Sites
d. Unenclosed Structures - only open sided with no flammable or hazardous materials and no dining
- Carports
- Freestanding canopies
- Park pavilions
e. Industrial Facility with its own OSHA regulated Fire Brigade
NOTE: Any on-site sewage facilities (septic) are permitted through Harris County Wastewater group.
