RECOVERY AND RESILIENCY DIVISION

The Harris County Engineering Department, with direction from the Commissioners Court, established the Recovery and Resiliency Division (RRD) in 2018 to oversee engineering projects dedicated to the reduction of flood risk following Hurricane Harvey. The Division is one of eight within the Harris County Engineering Department, which executes the planning, study, design and construction of various infrastructure, parks and other architectural and maintenance projects in accordance with engineering design standards and specifications.

Design Phase

The Harris County Engineering Department-Recovery and Resiliency Division presented recommended subdivision stormwater drainage improvements to residents during community engagement meetings in 2019. For a list of subdivisions, presentations, and meeting summaries, visit www.hcfcd.org/SDP

What’s next?
Engineering consultants, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers and members of Harris County Engineering and Harris County Precincts will conduct field studies. With the data collected, the team will verify the preliminary study recommendations to move projects into the design and construction phases.

We thank you for your patience as we work on the 2018 Bond Program subdivision drainage projects.
